Designing Services

CQCS has a wealth of experience of supporting organisations wishing to review the provision of services; redesign clinical services or design new clinical services.  We have the flexibility to provide a range of support based on the needs of our clients.  This includes visioning and strategy development as well as hands on practical support such as data analysis and project management.

We recognise that designing services to ensure that appropriate care can be delivered outside of hospitals and bringing care closer to home is a key role of PCTs and Practice Based Commissioning (PBC). The team of experts at CQCS are able to offer support to PCTs and PBC clusters to translate strategic vision into operational plans to help make care outside of hospital a reality.  Whether it's support to develop prioritised programmes of change or support in developing service specifications CQCS is able to help.

Our team has experience of assisting service providers to review problematic areas of service provision and achieve improvements in efficiency in areas that include reducing A&E waits; reduction of acute zero-lengths of stay; improvements in the discharge from hospital process; defining community nursing interventions and costs; and determining appropriate staffing requirements for acute and community hospital settings.
